Spring into action!

It's a beautiful sunny day, the birds are singing, the flowers are in bloom and it really feels like Spring has arrived!

Had a fairly productive day yesterday, having finished making this month's birthday cards I was able to finally concentrate on making my cards for Mother's Day. The two cards were made using Clarity stamps. The first card used 'Primroses' and the second using 'Snowdrop' and 'Cornflower'.

Here is the first card, which I have decided to enter into Joanna Sheen's 'Spring Is In The Air' challenge blog:

I took my inspiration for the second card from Barbara Gray's demonstration on Create & Craft recently, where she made a card which included a book mark as the main centrepiece.  I loved the idea, so thought I'd have a go myself! The only thing I've done differently is to stamp an image behind the bookmark, so when the bookmark is removed it still looks like a complete card.

Here it is again in another colour:

Hope you like them. Happy Crafting!

Gone Fishing!

This is the latest birthday card I've just made. It's for my cousin's 18th birthday.

He enjoys fishing and for his birthday last year I used  the Clarity Stamp 'Fishing'. However this year I wanted to do something different, so used my Craft Robo instead.  The beautiful silhouette of the fisherman was found on the UK Scrappers site and the file is attributed to Lumpyfoo - so many thanks for sharing this file!

It was a quick card to make, with the fisherman cut out of black cardstock, the numbers cut in silver mirri card and then mat and layered onto green pearlescent and black glittered cardstock.

Well, that's all for now. It will soon be the weekend and time for more cardmaking and blogging!
